We are a team as passionate about horses as we are about ensuring our visitors feel like they are part of the family.

At Cape Winelands Riding, each team member brings different skills to the (s)table and all play a vital role in ensuring guests are comfortable, safe and that our horses are in peak condition to ensure the rider gets the most out of the experience. We also see our horses as an integral part of the team and the foundation of the business – if they are happy, our riders are happy, and a happy rider is one who returns time and again.

Our stable yard team

Our farm thrives thanks to our trustworthy stable team, who work tirelessly to care for our horses. Alongside them, we are supported by a wonderful group of volunteers and interns, all dedicated to helping with rides and contributing to the overall success of our farm.

Returning for the second year in a row to Cape Winelands for horse riding during the holiday season was a fantastic choice. Marie, our guide, once again impressed with her friendly and accommodating nature, making the ride thoroughly enjoyable. Riding Olympia, a well-trained and gentle horse, instilled a sense of safety, ensuring a smooth and delightful journey. Long canters through the picturesque landscapes, guided by Marie and Olympia's reliability, contributed to yet another memorable adventure. I highly recommend this exceptional horse riding experience!

One of the best experiences of our annual holiday in South Africa. Incredibly accommodating of our three year old daughter who loved the experience and her time on Brady. We also booked an additional adult ride so mom and daughter could "ride" together. All really easily booked and organised via WhatsApp with Marie. Miniature cow, horse, donkey and a sheep was an added bonus for the little ones. Highly recommended.

Visiting Cape Winelands Riding was such a lovely experience! We went on a 3.5 hour ride and stopped for a wine tasting halfway. Dasha, our guide, was a friendly, knowledgeable and delightful guide who took us through the vineyards, orchards and beautiful sceneries on horseback. All the horses were easy going and fantastic to ride. The wine tasting at Babylonstoren was great, we all loved the atmosphere. On our way back the experienced riders among us were able to canter with our guide which was a wonderful addition to the ride. I recommend this to everyone who loves horses and the outdoors! Thank you for the fantastic experience!
